Why You Should be Blogging.

In this series of training, I’m going to first of all show you why it’s very, very important that you
should be blogging; why you should be creating a blog and using that in your business. I’m
also going to show you how to set up a blog. And I’m also going to show you how to use your
blog to promote MAP.

And there’s a few times in our training where we mention about creating a case study or, you
know, a documentation of your MAP journey. And a blog is a perfect place to do this. So I’m
going to literally show you everything you need to do to get set up with WordPress and then to
start using the WordPress blog to generate traffic through your MAP One Link.

Now at the time of creating this training, I basically did a few Google searches, and at the time
of recording this video, there are almost 2 billion websites on the web. That’s an incredible
amount of websites.

However, more than 835 million of these sites use WordPress, which is what we’re going to be
using to create a blog. And over 60 million of these are WordPress blogs. So there’s basically
60, around 60 million WordPress blogs on the internet.

Now WordPress is downloaded over 2 million times a year, and its usage continues to rise
steadily. Basically, WordPress lets you create your website easily and manage it from any
computer. If you’ve never done this before, you will be absolutely amazed at how easy it is to
set WordPress up. But let’s first of all talk about why you should be blogging.

I’m going to cover the reasons to create a blog. Well, first of all, WordPress is 100% free. So
you can install WordPress via your web server, basically a hosting cPanel in just a few clicks,
which I’ll be showing you later, but it’s 100% free to do.

So first of all, there’s no cost involved apart from you’re going to need a domain name and
hosting. You need a domain name to install your blog and obviously hosting to actually host
your blog.

It is possible to actually host your blog on WordPress, but that is not recommended. You want
to be in full control of your blog. Now, your blog is a central hope for everything you do online.
In my opinion, your blog is your most important website because you know why? While you
might argue, you might say, well, what about, you know, my products? What about my
services?

A lot of times people will find your products and services through your blog, okay? Now, a blog
helps you become established. One of the first things I actually teach my coaching students in
my partnership with success program is to create a blog.

It’s literally the first thing they do, because if you’ve never done anything online before, you
know, asking you to go and create a product or, or do something a little bit more advanced, a
lot of people who are new to this will struggle. However, anyone can set up a blog, anyone, as
long as you’ve got hosting, you can do this, okay?

It also helps you be seen as an expert. So if you imagine people are doing a little bit of
research about you, which you want to happen, because as you become more established
online, as you get more experience, as you hopefully eventually create products and services
of your own people are going to do their research.

They’re going to see what you are about, and nine times out of 10, they’ll land on your blog.
You know, if you search my name (Omar Martin), my blog is one of the first things you’ll find, okay?

And obviously when they find you, if you’ve got an established blog, they’re going to see you
as an expert, because obviously if you are sharing information and giving away a valuable
content and, you know, whatever it is you may be doing, people find that they’re going to
instantly think, oh, this person knows what they’re talking about. It also helps you gain a
following.

Obviously, if people land on your blog and you’ve got a way for people to opt in to whatever, a
newsletter, a mailing list, all through your MAP One Link, it helps you gain a following as long
as you do it right.

Blogging Workshop

You’ll find that if you give people valuable content, these people are going to want to learn
more about you. It’s also a platform to create valuable content on when you’ve created your
WordPress blog, it’s very, very easy to add content, which I’ll be showing you as well.

So if you write a post, you literally click post, and it’s online forever. That’s one big thing as
well. I mean, I actually created my blog in 2006. And you know, when you go to my blog today,
you can still go and look back at all of the content I’ve created in all of the years I’ve had my
blog online.

It also helps you become discovered. So it sort of falls into the category of helping you gain a
following. But again, as people find you, as people do searches online, as people browse
social media, they might see a link to one of your blog posts.

Obviously, this helps you become discovered because remember 99.9% of the information
you’ll be given away on your blog is free. So you’re not asking people for money when they’re
visiting, you know, you’re not asking for money for people to go and look at your blog, is what
I’m trying to say.

So when people come to your blog, as long as you’ve done the right things, and long as you’re
putting valuable content out there, people are going to discover you. So people who don’t know
who you are, you know, could be online today and land on your blog, and obviously want to
find more about you.

It’s also one of the most important things, the perfect way to share your experiences and
journey with the MAP program. You could start on day one. You could literally start on day one

Affiliate blogging strategies

It’s gonna start with you finding that one product and then making that blog a hub for all things
that relate or feed into that particular product. So if the product and I’m just gonna make an
example here, I’m just gonna pull it outta thin air. Let’s say the product that you want to create
is, or, rather, the product that you wanna promote is a video course on how to produce feature
films that one would see in Hollywood.

So maybe it’s filmmaking, right? And, it’s a $500 course or a thousand dollars filmmaking
course. Well, what are the things then that you could create a blog about, right? And you can
maybe call it all things film or filming 101 or Hollywood filming or something that would attract
that kind of audience.

Affiliate blogging strategies

On your blog, you could have all kinds of articles and information about filming, what cameras
to use, what lenses to use, what scripts to use, how to write the scripts, how to take the perfect
shots, how to do all kinds of cinematography, how to do editing, anything and everything that
would basically be attractive to a person that would enroll in that big cinematic production
training course that you wanna sell.

You could create articles, you could create content on that, that would now appeal to those
types of people. And now when they come to your blog to consume that content that they’re
interested in, they’re gonna be tripping all over links to promote that you’re using to promote
that big course as an affiliate.

And that’s the premise here, right? So how do we pull it off? Well, we create pages with
purpose. You wanna make a navigation menu that’s easy to find right up at the top. Don’t hide
it. Don’t, you know, this is something that I tell people all the time, because sometimes they try
to make it so clever, they try to make it so cute, so pretty, so new with the design that you can’t
even find where the stinking menus are.

You made it so pretty that I can’t even find it, right? So, make things nice, but also practical.
They have to be findable, usable, and that’s gonna affect your conversion. So make a nice,
easy to find navigation menu. Have a landing page right at the front of that blog, and it should
have a hero section with featured posts.

Affiliate blogging strategies

Now, a hero section is essentially what I like to call the deck of the page. The deck of the page
is the top six inches. It’s the part of the page that would be visible on a laptop without scrolling.

It’s usually the part that contains a headline. It contains the top navigation menu and the logo.

Maybe a video, maybe a headline, but it’s the very first thing that people see at the top of the
page, and that’s called the hero section. The hero section could have a compelling headline that’s gonna attract your people. It could have a video that’s just basically something that will always be there and attract all types of people that are interested.

It could be a welcome video, Hey, welcome to my video, my blog about videography and about cinematical production, and about, you know, whatever it is. It could be like a welcome video. And then, now you could also have some sort of a headline and bullet points, but it’s what people see first, right?

So you definitely wanna have a see a, a hero section, and right below it, you wanna have featured posts.

How do you create this? How do you make a blog have a hero section? How do you make it
have featured posts? Well, essentially you need to select a blog theme. If you’re using
WordPress for your blog, which most people do, don’t quote me on the number at the time that you’re watching this, but something like 65 or 75% of the internet uses WordPress. Read more…

Well, a blog is a way you get subscribers on your list, and it’s the way that you start building relationships and branding yourself before you even get them on your list.

So it’s not just about selling, it’s about actually connecting with people, establishing a relationship with them. And it’s not the same as traditional marketing that you’ve heard of where, you know, you run some sort of an ad or you put some sort of a piece of content out there, and then you just kind of drive
traffic to it instead. (and the way to promote your online business – here is my link )

Blogging is more of just a custom way for you to actually share your voice. It’s a way to
connect with people and add a personal touch. It’s a way that you can get real time feedback,
because people can comment right there on your blog, on your blog post, and you could reach
a wider audience. (Blogging 101)

You could also cross pollinate your audiences, but it’s a place that people keep coming back
to, to hear from you. It’s a place where you could keep reminding people to come and visit to
learn from you unlike social media. And by the way, social media in many respects, plays a
similar role as your blog does.

Social media is a great way to cross pollinate, to bring people to your blog, and to get people
from your blog onto your social media accounts and to post content from your blog onto your
social media and link your social media onto your blog. It’s a great idea to do what we call
cross-pollinating your content on your blog, but essentially your blog.

Blogging 101

It’s not just an alternative to traditional marketing. It’s a completely different, unique way for you
to communicate with all of those people that you’re attracting and that you are building a
relationship with. So let’s talk about how you set up your blog. We use a platform called
WordPress. Okay? So WordPress is the most commonly used blogging platform.

As a matter of fact, WordPress as a site platform, it’s one of the most commonly used website
tools on the internet. I heard that more sites are built with WordPress than any other type of
site on the internet. So the idea here is for you to use WordPress as the platform to build your

WordPress is essentially a blogging platform that you can install with your hosting account, but
essentially you’re going to use it to create that website or that blog that you communicate with
people. And WordPress is ideal for this because not only does it have a great looking website,
but it’s very easy to use and it’s got a very easy to navigate interface.

Blogging 101

This basically becomes your own user-friendly, powerful digital canvas. This is where you are
going to build your blog, build your site, and upload your content that’s gonna brand you to the
world. And that’s gonna help you attract an audience and establish a relationship with them.
Now, the first things that you want to do, the first steps that you want to take in, in your blog
building process is you wanna select a domain and you wanna set up your hosting.

A lot of people stress out over, you know, well, what should my domain name be? Should it be
clever? Should it be the name of a company? Should it be my name? Look, I think this is
where you really have to put your thinking cap on. This is where you have to sit down with a
pencil and a piece of paper and think about what you want out of your online business, right?

So think about what you want to have a year from now. What type of business do you want to
have? What kind of website do you want to have? What kind of audience do you wanna have
on that website? How is that website serving people? And how is it serving you? Right? And
you have to kind of jot down these ideas on a piece of paper, because that’s what’s gonna help
you design your site, and it’s what’s gonna help you set it up. (Blogging 101 – full report)

Let’s talk about blogging for money, specifically affiliate marketing through blog posts, right? So
first of all, affiliate marketing is a very, very powerful strategy when you combine it with
blogging, right? So a lot of online marketers use blogs to promote products or services from
other companies, and then earn a commission. (That is why I started to format my blog to promote this one important affiliate platform – MAP – learn more here…)

A blog is a great way to put your affiliate link out there for any number of products, you know,
and the way that works is you basically recommend a product or service or a membership site
through your blog, and then you provide links wherever your audience can join or purchase
them, right? So you put them all over your blog, you basically insert all these trip wires in
different posts and different banners and widgets and different places on the blog.

When somebody clicks on any one of these links and they make a purchase, or they join a site
that eventually they make a purchase on, you earn a commission. A cool thing about a blog is
it becomes like the hub of your affiliate marketing. And it’s a very, very powerful way for you to
build trust, to build an audience, and to get your links out there. Let’s start talking about the
benefits of doing affiliate marketing as a blogger.

First and foremost, monetization. That’s the most obvious one when you are blogging as an
affiliate marketer. You’re specifically doing blogging for the purpose of getting clicks to an
affiliate offer, you’re gonna make money, right? It’s these vague and bizarre blogs that talk
about a whole bunch of stuff that means absolutely nothing to just about anybody.

Those are the ones that don’t really make money, but if you do it properly and you create a
blog that’s really, really tailored to a specific product that you’re promoting, then now you’re
gonna have a way to monetize your content without having to create your own products, right?
And this is very, very powerful because you may or may not know that as a vendor, you gotta
create your own products, and there’s a lot of skills that you gotta learn in order to be able to
do that.

💎Blogging for Money 💰

Well, if you’re a blogger, you could promote somebody else’s products on your blog, and
there’s a lot less skills that you have to learn to become a blogger. So this is really, really
appealing, to people that are still building their audience, that are brand new, that haven’t really
gotten much experience.

Somebody might find that blog post while they’re searching through your site, or they’re doing
a search bar on Google or in one of the search engines. And that can happen a week from
now, two weeks from now, a year from now, we make money from blog posts that we posted
years ago.

You can actually earn money while you sleep, so to speak. And as people visit your site and
click on your links, you’re getting new subscribers, you’re getting new referrals, and you’re
making sales that create money for you. Another good benefit is flexibility. You’ve got the
freedom now to choose which products or services you promote, and it allows you to align with
items that you genuinely want to endorse and that you resonate with and that you wanna do.
Essentially what this means is that you can blog about anything. You can create articles and
post about anything. You’re not stuck doing just one thing. You can do one thing, you can
promote one product, but you can write all different types of articles and post all different types
of content.

💎Blogging for Money 💰

Not only that, you can make all different types of blogs. You can have a blog in one niche and
a blog in another niche. And it’s a great, great flexible way for you to make money online as an
affiliate marketer. So let’s talk about the products that you’re gonna promote. And this is
important because it’s not necessarily about promoting a bunch of different products on your
blog in order to make money.

As a matter of fact, a lot of people don’t know this, but you really just need to promote one
product, and it actually works out much better for you when you promote one product. The key
to successful affiliate marketing lies in promoting products or services that align with your

Now, the secret to success here is to create a blog that will focus around one affiliate product.
Now, I have said this many, many times before, it is a lot easier to create a product for an
audience than it is to create an audience for a product, right? So now, in this particular
scenario, what I am going to say is, it is a lot easier to create a blog for a product than it is to
promote a whole bunch of different products on one blog.

Here’s where you have to focus. If you’re gonna create a blog around one product that you
wanna promote, first and foremost, relevance, relevance, your audience visit your blog for
specific content and interests. That means that the product that they’re pro, that you’re gonna pitch them, the product that you’re gonna be promoting with this blog has to be relevant, just
