May be you have a deep desire to find a way to make money online. Maybe you want to quit your offline job that you hate. Maybe you just want to make a little extra money to supplement your retirement income.

Both of these dreams are possible, if you are patient and avoid “shiny object syndrome”. The journey to reliable online income is a marathon, not a a sprint.

Having the right mindset and expectations is one of the most important differences between those who ultimately succeed and those who fail.

If you have the mindset of a sprinter, and you just want to find a way to get the first 100 yards of the journey as quickly as possible, then you are probably going to end up a victim. A victim of people who promise fast results with little work and small investments of money. Sprinters end up falling for the “get rich quick” schemes, or believing that the way to online riches is to find the “latest and greatest” money making opportunity.

I have been in this business for almost 20 years, and I have seen it over and over again. So much money wasted and so many dreams dashed by people who try to get results quickly and who don’t follow the right path. It is a crying shame.

What scares me the most is that I see people falling for these schemes over and over again. The same people promoting program after program with the latest buzz-words inserted. Crypto this and CBD that. The buzz words change, but the programs are all still a sham that take people’s money on the promise of fast riches that never come.

I see the same people who ran the last “money making opportunity of the decade” starting up new ones after the old one went bust. There are always more victims out there. They grab what they can, shut things down, rinse and repeat, leaving thousands of victims in their wake.

In contrast, I am a marathon runner, not a sprinter. I suggest that you take the mindset of a marathon runner as well.

Marathon runners are not concerned with their time in the first 100 yards of the race. They know that the key to success is to keep a steady pace over the entire 26 miles. If they go too hard at the beginning, then they will run out of steam and never make it to the end. They use strategies and tactics that will pay off in the long-run, not in the short term.

It took me 3 years of working every evening and every weekend before I reached the point where I could leave my full-time job and rely on my online income. I was in a marathon, not a sprint. However, because I built a business on a solid foundation, I am still here earning a full-time income more than 16 years later. My first program, launched in 2001, is still going strong 19 years later. That is a rarity in the online world. All of the programs I started are still in business. Marathon runners change approach, but they do not give up.

The strategy that I use is the build an audience of people who know, like, and trust me. I find and create products that add value and help my audience. This is the same strategy used by EVERY SINGLE ONE of the people I know who have had reliable online income.

The reason that this strategy is the most effective one for reliable income is simple. My income is not based on a single product. You cannot have reliable income when you sell a single product because the market changes. When I see people promoting a single product or program, I know that they are not going to have long-term success.

However, if your strategy is to turn strangers into friends, and then promote multiple useful products to that group, then you have longevity.

Most people who are reading this email will not follow my strategy. They are sprinters, not marathon runners. That is unfortunate because I have never known a sprinter who has made consistent income for more than a few weeks, even if they “got in early”. That is why 98% of people fail to make money online. They follow the sprinters instead of the marathon runners.

Do you HATE the sound of your damn alarm clock?

Forcing yourself out of bed, puffy eyes, brain full of fog, frustrated and grouchy…

Wouldn’t it just be great to doze back to sleep for a little longer?

“Just 10 more minutes. . .”

But no, apparently you’re not allowed to “if you want to be successful”. You’ve probably read things like the following on social media before:

“While successful people are up and at the gym, everyone else is still sleeping.”  Or.

“Successful people have done more than most people do by 9 AM”  Or.

“If you don’t wake up at 5 AM, kiss your chances goodbye.”

But is it true? Do you really need to wake up early to be successful?

Well, I’ll give you my thoughts in just a moment…

But first, let me just give you 2 great ways you can actually SUCCEED by hitting the snooze…

#1 The Visualization Snooze:

Set your alarm 10 minutes earlier than usual. And when it goes off, hit snooze.

Then during this time before you’re fully awake, start to visualize yourself succeeding at your day and getting everything you want done.

The more sleepy and groggy, the better…

This works since you’re not fully awake yet, so the visualization can actually go straight into your subconscious.

This may take some practice, some night-before prep, and some testing to see what works best for you…

But it’s a great way to program your mind for success. And the results can be incredible if you stick to it.

Here’s another great way you can use the snooze button.

The ‘In-The-Groove’ Snooze:

Do you have something to do that you know you should be doing, but you’re doing everything you can to avoid it?

This is the perfect time to use the In-The-Groove Snooze.

When you have to do something you don’t want to do… just set an alarm for 2-minutes from now, and commit to working on what you don’t want to do for just those 2 small minutes…

For example. Say you’re reading this at 11:25 AM, and you have to do some work you really don’t want to do…

Just set an alarm for 11:27 AM and commit to working on it for 2 minutes.

When the alarm goes off, hit the snooze, and work on it for another few minutes.

And once you get into a groove, you may find yourself hitting the snooze button twice or even three times.

Then before you know it, you’ll finally be done the work you didn’t want to do.

Try it. You’ll be amazed how well this trick works.

But now.. let’s circle back to this whole idea “you should wake up early” garbage.

Do you have to wake up early to be successful?

No, I don’t think so at all.

Actually, if you’re one of those people that hates waking up early – you might be MORE successful the later you wake up.

What’s going on here?

Well, it’s true that some successful people like waking up early. But there are actually a lot of successful people who wake up late, and prefer to work late in the night..

I’m one of them. I’m a night owl. I LOVE late-night work. I find late evenings and nights the best times for me to think and get creative work done.

I’m not always my best in the early morning. So from my own experience, this idea that waking up early is needed to be successful is just a load of crap.

Here’s what really matters.

Success Is Not About Waking Up Early — It’s About Your Habits

We all have 24 hours in a day.

So instead of focusing when to be awake – why not focus on what to do when you’re awake?

If you wake up at 5 AM but don’t do anything useful with your time – it doesn’t even matter you woke up at 5 does it?

On the other hand, if you have solid habits, you wake up late, but you get everything done… Does it matter what time you woke up?

No.

Jean Michele Jarre Rendes Vous

This album is one of my favorite in his discography.

I like to mention some times music albums I’d recommend to listen.

Rendez-vous is the eighth studio album by electronic musician and composer Jean-Michel Jarre released on Disques Dreyfus, licensed to Polydor, in 5 April 1986. It sold some three million copies worldwide and remains Jarre’s longest-running chart album in both the U.S. and UK, with a 20-week run in the U.S. and an impressive 38-week run in the UK. It’s his last studio album to date that topped the French charts. The album art of the album was created by long-time collaborator Michel Granger.[2]

The last track on the album was originally scheduled to include a saxophone part recorded by astronaut Ron McNair on the Space Shuttle Challenger, which would have made it the first piece of music to be recorded in space. However, on January 28, 1986, 73 seconds after lift-off, the shuttle disintegrated and the entire Challenger crew were killed. The track was dedicated to McNair and the other astronauts on board Challenger.[3] On the album, the saxophone part is played by saxophonist Pierre Gossez.

The album reached #9 in the UK charts and reached #52 in the US, making it Jarre’s highest-charting album in the country.[4]

The album was nominated for Grammy Award for Best New Age Album in 1987, although it didn’t win the award.[5]

In April 1986, Jarre performed the large-scale outdoor concert Rendez-vous Houston in HoustonTexas, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the founding of Texas. The show attracted a then-world-record live audience of 1.3 million people. The concert was originally to have included a video projection of Ron McNair’s performance, recorded in space.

Jean-Michel returned to the stage in October for another performance, Rendez-Vous Lyon, marking Pope John Paul II‘s visit to Jarre’s hometown of Lyon.

Early editions of the album from 1986 had the tracks for Second and Fifth Rendez-Vous split up into separate parts, and slightly different timings for Fourth and Last Rendez-Vous (Ron’s Piece).

Some say procrastination, some say fear, lack of self confidence, no determination etc.

But to me, the top reason for failure is reluctance to learn.

The market is full of people giving the false idea that one can get rich easily.

How often have you seen sales pitches like ‘no technical knowledge required’, ‘no skill needed’, ‘turnkey business’?

Gurus always position themselves as an average Joe and if they can make it, so can you.

As a result of all these, many people have the false impression that they can be successful without having to know much.


Let me share with you a story.

I told you that I had an old business partner in my first brick and mortar business. But I didn’t tell you that he had a son. Let’s call him Tom (not his real name).

Tom and I were working together in my first business, the mind machine business, remember? He was basically a sleeping partner. He was there because he had 50% share in the company (money from his dad).

He wasn’t really interested in the business because he thought it was too small.

After the business folded, we split.

He then went to Thailand to do his big business (with financial backing from his dad) while I continued with my small business, as what he called it.

Before he left, he threw me a challenge. He said, “Let’s see who make a million dollar first!”

10 years later, I made my first million. He had lost a lot of money in different business ventures.

What’s the difference between us?

It is the willingness to learn.

I graduated as a civil engineer. In terms of general knowledge, I knew nothing about success principles, time management and emotion management. In terms of technical skills, I knew nothing about marketing, programming, graphic design, copywriting etc. I picked up all these skills and knowledge after I graduated.

For him, he believed that to make money, he simply had to employ people to work for him.

While I tried to master all the necessary skills to solve my business problems and save money, he outsourced almost everything and simply used money to solve problems.

I can’t say what I’m doing is absolutely right, but his reluctance to learn and be a hands-on person had definitely caused his failure.

The more I learn, the more control I have, and the less mistakes I make.

For him, since he was hardly involved in the daily operation of his businesses, his success largely depended on the capabilities of his other business partners, who unfortunately were only interested in siphoning his money into their pockets.

Think about this…

The missing puzzle between where you are and where you want to be is the knowledge to get there. If you have that knowledge, getting there is just a matter of time and hard work.

And guess what, knowledge can be learnt!

You see , many entrepreneurs become entrepreneurs because of the ‘freedom’ generally associated with it.

…getting to wake up whenever you want.

…getting to spend as much time as you want with your family.

…and getting to take the time off to do whatever you want.

But along the way to that dream life, most get stuck on a hamster wheel. And the dream life they were so desperate to have just seems to move farther and farther away.

What do I mean? Well, let me show you what no one talks about.

Let’s say you have a 1M-dollar/year company.

It could be a restaurant, it could be an eCommerce store…

Whatever it is…

Let’s be conservative and say the after all the costs it takes to run your 1M revenue company, you have 25% in profits.

So 250,000-dollars in profits

Following so far? Good.

Now, some people might think:

“Okay great, that’s not too bad.”

But you haven’t invested back into the company yet. So now let’s say you reinvest half of it back into your company.

Leaving you with only 125,000 dollars…

It’s not that much – is it?

It’s actually just a little over 10K a month.

And that’s BEFORE tax.

Not so glamorous and incredible like the media makes out that running a million-dollar company is, right?

Also, that’s not even 10K passively…

While you’re scaling and finding the right people – it’s HARD hard work.

When I started my company, I was working for 12-14 hours a day every single damn day. And I did that for 5 years…

I’m NOT saying building a business is bad.

I’m just saying it’s not as simple and glamorous as people are telling you.

So what should you do to work towards your ideal life?

I recommend you take a lesson from the fisherman.

What The Fisherman Can Teach You About True Success

The fisherman had a good skill to provide for his family…

He could’ve used it to make more if he wanted to.

But he also had the freedom to create the lifestyle he wanted to.

And that’s what I recommend you do too.

Instead of pouring years into building companies, why not focus first on a skill that can give you control over your time and life?

A skill that can provide for you everything you need in just a few hours every morning…

— Without the typical overheads of a business.

— Without all the pressure to look after employees and beat the competition.

— And without all the late nights that most entrepreneurs have to experience.

Now, it’s not going to be as easy as fishing!

This is not some magic bullet bs.

It’s not some easy snap your fingers and 100-dollar notes will come flying out of your phone or computer thing.

And just like building a business – this isn’t for lazy people that would rather party and play video games all day.

But unlike a business, once you’ve got a skill that puts bucks in your pocket fast, no one can take that away from you…

Strange TV series reveals the key to success

A few weeks ago, when I was chatting with one of my team members, he was telling me about this strange TV series…

A series that is apparently so bad at storytelling – it’s became an international success.

But what’s even more strange about this series, is the main character.

The main character is so powerful, he beats any enemy he fights with ONE single punch.

No. It’s not Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson…

It’s not Chuck Norris…

And it’s not even Bruce Lee…

It’s Saitama.

A ‘regular’ 20-something year old (who’s gone bald) – who’s practically invincible.

The Strongest Man In The World

So apparently this Saitama guy can kick anyone’s ass with one single punch.

And with one punch – I mean completely obliterate any enemy.

– Monsters 32 stories high…

– Meteors as big as a city…

– And even super-speed ninjas…

Now, if you don’t watch Anime, that’s okay. Follow along anyway because I’m about to share with you an invaluable lesson about success.

Ready?

Okay. So all the other heroes (and villains) in the show want to know how Saitama got so strong…

They theorize that:

He used some sort of “magical strength enhancer”…

That he is actually a machine that looks like a person…

Or that there is actually a God living inside his body…

But when his apprentice (Genos) decides to ask actually him directly:

“Saitama, tell us! What is the true secret to your power?”

He leaves everyone speechless.

“I’ll tell you the secret to my strength. But you must promise you’ll stick to this intense training regime if I do.

No matter how hard it becomes… Okay?”

Then he reveals the secret — the secret training regime:

Saitama’s Training Regime:

100 Pushups

100 Sit Ups

100 Squats

A 10KM run

Every. Single. Day.

Now, when Saitama tells EVERYONE this “secret regime”. Everyone freaks out at him. They say.

“You’re full of crap.”

“Don’t joke with us.”

“What is your real secret?”

And no one actually believes him…

Even though that’s all he really did.

And of course, in real life sure — it makes zero sense that you’ll become invincible doing just 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups, and 100 squats…

But in One Punch Man – that’s what happens when you do that.

And I think this story applies to success and business too.

So Many People Want To Know The “Secret Formula To Success”…

They want to know “the trick”.

The ultra-secret thing NO ONE knows.

Or some super complicated business strategy.

To make things worse, there are all these gurus out there selling you their crap promising that once you discover their “3 action steps”, you’ll retire young and have a lambo and stuff.

…and after you buy their 39-dollar program (which can be divided into two easy payments) your life will never be the same again…

But in my experience, the formula to success is simple. In some ways, it’s as simple as Saitama’s training regime.

And here it is. Ready?

Step 1. Find A Mentor

Why spend decades working things out for yourself when you can learn all the mistakes from someone that has already been there and done that?

Finding a mentor is like finding yourself a personal trainer.

And without a mentor, you’re at a HUGE disadvantage. And if you come up against someone else that does have a mentor – when you don’t…

Who do you think is going to win…?

So finding a mentor is the most important step.

Step 2. Develop Your High-Income Skill

When it comes to training and building muscle, without a solid foundation, you can easily get injured.

Without the proper inner muscles to keep you stabilized, you’ll easily injure yourself lifting really heavy weights.

And it’s the same in business.

Before going out there and starting a business. And before lifting all these heavy weights, the first thing you’ll want to do is work on your foundation.

…to work on getting yourself a stable income-stream.

And in today’s economy, the fastest and most profitable way to do that is by developing what I call a High-Income Skill.

A skill that companies cannot automate or outsource easily. And a skill that is in HIGH demand (because so few people know how to do one.)

This is the first step to building your wealth. And it gives you the room to grow without sacrificing comfort.

Step 3. Build Your Scalable Business (Optional)

Now, after you’ve got your core strength down – it’s up to you whether you want to start lifting the heavy weights…

Some people are happy with just a strong body (their High-Income Skill). And that’s fine – that’s why I say this step is an option…

It’s NOT for everyone.
